Working as a Data Migration Specialist (Insurance Platforms & Tools
You are an ambitious professional with a keen interest and a proven track record in insurance. As a Data Migration Specialist, you will lead the migration of insurance data from legacy systems to modern platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and minimal downtime. You will leverage your understanding of insurance platforms and tools to create seamless data integration strategies tailored to client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and map data from legacy insurance systems to target schemas.
- Design and implement ETL pipelines for efficient and reliable data migration.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure accurate data mapping and validation.
- Monitor data quality pre- and post-migration, resolving discrepancies as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data migration, particularly in the insurance industry.
- Proficiency in SQL and ETL processing
- Basic knowledge of insurance data models and platforms (e.g., Guidewire, UL-T3, GT-AIA).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
Optional Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for data storage and processing.
- Familiarity with insurance regulatory standards (e.g., Solvency II, DORA).
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R for data transformation tasks.
