The combo data expertise and insurance knowledge puts us in a sweet spot
When thewave was launched in 2018 under the umbrella of Ensur, it gave the pragmatic consultancy firm, exclusively focused on the insurance sector, a significant boost. “Our clients faced, and currently still face, large and complex transformations, often with a pronounced data and digital component – thewave’s forte,” says Reinold Vanhevel, CEO of The Ensur Company. Since then, thewave has matured, offering a broader and even more specialized range of services to both insurers and other sectors and businesses. “We’re in a sweet spot where we can combine technical data expertise with deep insurance knowledge – this makes us unique in the market.”
“Initially created to add digital competencies to our renowned transformation projects, thewave has grown beyond being an extension of Ensur. The technical expertise and offerings have been so significantly strengthened and expanded that the services of thewave can now act as a powerful accelerator in their own right, particularly for the insurance sector. The reason for this is clear: we have decades of experience and deep knowledge of the insurance industry – a strong combo traditional providers of digital and data solutions can’t match overnight. However, thewave has also built a solid track record in other sectors, enabling us to apply our expertise in a meaningful and efficient way. This is what thewave and Ensur – both part of The Ensur Company – have in common: we are thinkers and doers. Pragmatists, if you will. We get to the heart of the problem, propose possible solutions, and execute them.”
Key services
The core services of thewave remain the foundation, of course. “Insurers are either in the process of designing a future-proof IT landscape or are acquiring portfolios as part of a consolidation movement... in each of these steps and transactions, a kind of reset occurs, and data needs to be integrated. These are not small operations, but we master these complex transformations to perfection – both digitally and in plain language. It is of crucial importance that these operations are carried out precisely and accurately, because if the data is incorrect, the insights are incorrect, the decisions you make are incorrect, and you cannot accurately report on risk and compliance to governments and other stakeholders. Our core transformation services remain key, but our digital focus and technical data capabilities allow insurers and other businesses to derive even more benefit from them. We’re pleased to introduce in the following weeks these services and some of our talented driving forces at thewave. The easiest way to do this is just letting our people explain how they are helping our clients.”
In an initial contribution Kris and Olivier explain how they help data migration make a difference between success and failure in a transformation program.
We will end the series with an exclusive interview with Tom Francis, who will take up the position of Business Line Lead Data to further grow thewave and to further build our service portfolio and expand our client portfolio.
